On November 3rd ‘democracy’ delivered in the United States because human beings overcame Covid-required isolation that had left them unsure about who or what to trust; defeated the economic dystopia of TV ads and mega donors; and got off their coaches and went out to meet their neighbors.
PERSONAL AGENCY
Citizens of every ethnicity showed up …
. in rural and urban communities,
. in red and blue areas,
. in good and bad weather.
People proved their personal agency by …
. holding a sign at the roadside,
. knocking on doors,
. making phone calls,
. serving as a poll watcher,
. writing and mailing postcards,
. giving $5 to a campaign,
. babysitting for other voters,
. serving as a DJ at the Polls.
